General information
ECDL Essentials is designed for novice users. It assumes no prior expertise, and offers the basics of ICT skills and knowledge.
Course content
The units are:
- IT User Fundamentals
- Using Email and The Internet
- Security for IT Users
Teaching and assessment
A practical, hands-on course in a relaxed environment. Each of the 3 units requires online assessment and full achievement will earn you the Level 1 AWARD IN IT USER SKILLS (ITQ) (QCF) (9 credits)
Entry requirements
Literacy at Level 1 and numeracy at Entry 3 plus basic PC skills or a prior Entry 3 qualification gained within the last 2 years.
Additional course costs
£150 course fees plus a registration fee of £22.
