You will learn how to hold a basic conversation and be able to explain directions and work-related issues using British sign language. You will also learn about deaf people, their community and culture. This course is offered in the evening.

Teaching and assessment
Taught and assessed by tutors accredited by Signature. You need all three units to progress to British Sign Language Level 2.
Entry requirements
No formal entry requirements.
Additional course costs
There is an additional £74 payable for the three exams.
Fees can be paid at a termly rate of £143.00
This is a self financing course and therefore there are no concessions available.
Progression
You can progress onto the British Sign Language Level 2.
Dates and times
The next course will begin in September and will run for two hours each week. There is an option to take this course in the evening or during the day.
