Topics covered include one required theme - Everyday Conversation, and 2 out of 3 optional themes – Eating and Drinking, Spending and Shopping, Travel and Holidays.
How will the course be delivered?Through classroom based activities alongside a Deaf, BSL qualified tutor and other delegates at a similar level.
Course Entry CriteriaThis course is suitable for anyone who has completed and achieved either SIGNATURE Level 1 Certificate in British Sign Language (BSL) or CACDP Level 1 Certificate in British Sign Language (proof of certificate is required).
The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:
- More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
- 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
- 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
- 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
- Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost
All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.
What will I get at the end of the course?You will receive a SIGNATURE Certificate on successful achievement and could go on to work as a Communication Support Worker at a basic level, attend a Communication Support Worker Course, apply to universities, or other training bodies offering the Post Level 2 course to further your training.
What can I do next?You could work as a Communication Support Worker at a basic level, attend a Communication Support Worker Course, apply to universities or other training bodes offering the Post Level 2 course to further your training. On successful completion you will receive a Signature Level 2 BSL Certificate.
How much does it cost?The course is priced at £370.00 per delegate (prices are subject to change) and this includes tuition, paperwork and certificate.
