General information

Apprenticeships are a good way to earn while you learn. College attendance is on a day-release basis and assessment will take place in the workplace. Learners work towards NVQ Levels 2 or 3. You may also study Key Skills and, where appropriate, a Technical Certificate.

General information

The business administration apprenticeship is available for learners aged 16-65 who are employed in an administration environment for a minimum of 30 hours a week. College attendance is on a day-release basis and assessment will take place in the workplace. learners are required to build a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their skills, understanding and knowledge of the subject. Training is provided through workshop sessions, tutorials and classroom teaching.

Course content

In-house training will take place one day a week and regular assessments and reviews will occur in the workplace. Learners will work towards the administration framework consisting of an NVQ level 3 in administration, a technical certificate, combining practical and theory work, key skills in Application of Number and Communication, ICT and Employer's Rights and Responsibilities.

Entry requirements

Must be employed in an office environment for a minimum of 30 hours per week and be able to attend College one day a week. All applicants have an interview and complete an initial assessment test to assess suitability for study at Level 2.
