This Level 4 qualification is for those who are going to be responsible at management level, e.g. Finance Team Leader, Finance Officer. The course includes work on financial statements, budgets, financial performance, accounting systems, credit management and business tax.

They are the world's largest dedicated professional body for qualified Accounting Technicians and people employed in a variety of accounting and financial roles. The Association's qualification is appropriate for all finance and accounting staff undertaking financial and accounting duties, whether in industry and commerce or the public sector, or in the offices of practising accountants. It is a highly regarded qualification and the Association is growing rapidly. There are three criteria for membership of the AAT: proven competence, a minimum period of approved work experience and evidence of suitability for membership and commitment to the Association. On completion of the course, plus a minimum of a years-approved work experience, students are eligible for membership of the AAT.

- EXA - External Auditing
Teaching and assessment
Competency will be determined by Computer Based Assessments (CBA) and Computer Based Projects (CBP).
Entry requirements
AAT Intermediate NVQ3 in Accounting.
New students are required to attend an interview.

- £240* for CBA.

- Fees payable to AAT: Admission Fee: £38. Membership Fee: £82* *Subject to amendment
Please note that there are no fee concessions available for this course. Fees must be paid before the start of the course.
Progression
For students wishing to progress to further accounting qualifications, exemptions are granted from ACCA and CIMA. Please contact the relevant awarding body for further details.
Dates and times
This course begins in September 2012. Classes are held at the Bromley Campus for either one day a week (Thurs 9.30-5.30) or two evenings a week (Mon & Wed 6.00pm-9.30pm).
We may also have a January 2013 start date available for students wishing to attend just the 2nd part of the Technician course.
