This course provides an opportunity for you to explore in a
practical way the skills that are required for entry into the
Uniformed Public Services. It will give learners the knowledge,
understanding and skills that they need to prepare for employment
either within the public services or not.
The course will consider aspects of physical fitness and will
investigate issues of personal health and well-being, help you
develop problem solving skills and carrying out essential map
reading and navigation. As part of your time on the course you will
investigate employment opportunities and develop an understanding
