At Blackburn College we are looking to implement training to help your setting adapt to the new EYFS framework. This tailor made qualification is taken from two units in the Level 3 QCF Diploma and will be assessed in the workplace and through a series of small workshops. The course is aimed at people who work in Early Years settings, play work and children’s centres.
The course will cover the following units:
- What is development and the areas
- How development is holistic
- Observation and assessment of children and factors to consider
- Curriculum planning
- Planning cycle
- Involving children in their own planning
- Partnership with parents
- Transitions
- Early Years Foundation Stage
Through college based workshops as well as independent study.
Course Entry CriteriaThe course is aimed at people who work in Early Years settings, play work and childrens centres.
The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:
- More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
- 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
- 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
- 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
- Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost
All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.
What will I get at the end of the course?On successful completion delegates will achieve the units CYP Core 3.2 Promote child and young person development and EYMP 2 Promote learning and development in the early years.
