Description
This qualification has been designed for those working in a pharmacy setting, either in the community or in a hospital. The qualification meets the needs of the pharmacy sector and related sector regulators and the requirements for endorsement of Skills for Health as the relevant Sector Skills Council for use in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The qualification is based upon newly developed National Occupational Standards for Pharmacy and is appropriate as a stand alone qualification for those working in Pharmacy Support Services at Level 2. Course content
The candidate will collect evidence for a vocationally evidenced portfolio covering Pharmacy law, Communications, Team work and four chosen optional units.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this qualification however a minimum of 15 hours working within the Pharmacy Sector is essential.
Delivery & Assessment methods
Assessment is by work based observation and classroom based portfolio building. Cost recovery
