Description
This course is suitable for learners who give one-to-one support to students and/or have a role supporting learning and teaching in schools and colleges. The course develops understanding of teaching and learning, working in education, and behaviour management. It also covers skills required for effective communication, self-development and career progression.
Course content
Learners undertake a range of modules over the three years. All modules are compulsory 14 credit modules are studied for 5 weeks. 30 credit modules are studied for 10 weeks.

Entry Requirements
Learners require 3 x GCSE's at grade C or above including English and 1 x GCE Advanced level or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Mature students over 21 with relevant work experience but other entry criteria may apply. Students must be employed within an educational classroom setting for at least 10 hours a week.
Delivery & Assessment methods
Delivery is by variety of methods to include Lectures, group work, Independent research. Assessment is by a variety of methods to include Timed constrained essays, Observation in the work environment, Written assignments, Case studies
