Course Description

The course is structured to build and enhance aspects achieved on Level 2 and also develops new areas of design, structures and techniques. Our aim is for you to feel confident enough to be able to complete a wide range of individual floristry requests presented by customers of a floristry shop. Course Content A course to inspire you from a wide range of sources, from international styles to period study. Start to create your own design style and identity. Explore additional business opportunity areas within floristry. Trial and utilise the latest techniques and skills. Practice and perfect workmanship. Become more daring, innovative and experimental. Increase your product knowledge. Each unit has an assignment (written and practical) and at the end of the course, and there is a short answer written test covering the main five units.

Progression:
Society of Floristry Exams Levels 4 and 5, or Higher Diploma in Floristry Students will need to provide a work box and flowers, foliage and sundries each week costing between £10 and £20. Guidance and advice will be given on utilising garden produced material. We also have a florist shop at Bicton where students may purchase tools, flowers, foliage and sundries.

National Certificate in Floristry Level 2; or · NVQ level 2; or · BTEC First Diploma in Floristry or equivalent
