Floristry Certificate Level 2
This course is suitable for students new to floristry or for those who wish to pursue a career in floristry. The course will provide you with basic training and skills necessary for successful progression. Mature students should also consider this as an entry into the industry. It is also suitable for existing floristry employees who wish to improve their knowledge.

What qualifications do I need?
An adequate standard of literacy and numeracy is required supported by a general education equivalent to four GCSE's at grade D or better, alternatively; related work experience, or other Level 1 or 2 qualifications will also provide the necessary entry requirement

What could I do after completing the course?
Continue to study at South Staffordshire College on our City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Floristry programme (Full time) or on our City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Floristry programme (Part time) Or Begin a career in the floristry industry
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through a series of practical observations, short written tests and by building a portfolio of your work
What equipment will I need?
All equipment will be provided by the college. There is a contribution towards the cost of flowers (see below) and you will need to purchase a floristry apron
Are there any additional costs?
There is an additional cost of £200. This can be paid in 2 instalments (at the beginning of the course and at Easter) and is a contribution towards the cost of flowers and books/literature that you need in order to complete the course
