Entry RequirementsIt is essential that your Initial Assessment results show that you are working at Level 1. You will also need to have achieved 4 GCSEs at grades A-D, including English, Maths and Science or equivalent.

Year 2 - Diploma
- Funeral and sympathy designs
- Wedding designs
- Shop display
- Work based industry unit*
- Function decorating
During year 1 you will complete 5 units to achieve the Certificate and a further 5 units in year 2 will give you the Diploma.
Functional Skills
You will also work towards nationally recognised functional
qualifications in English, Maths and ICT.
Successful students may wish to progress to Level 3 Diploma in Floristry, alternatively you may wish to seek employment in a floristry shop or start up your own business in a range of areas including weddings, funerals and other functions.
*40 hours of work experience within a florist will be expected to be achieved during the second year as part of the work-based industry unit.
