Full Time

Students enrol on their choses course (Animal, Floristry, Horse or Horticulture), and complete core modules plus a range of practical and theory modules in their chosen subject. Students also complete Essential Skills to help improve their literacy and numeracy skills and it is important that students develop these skills to at least Entry 3/Level 1 standard to help them progress to the next level*.

Entry 3 Entry Requirements


At least 1 x GCSE at Grade G or above, plus literacy and numeracy at Entry 3 leel or above. Alternatively, successful completion of a suitable Entry 2 qualification in a related subject plus literacy and numeracy at Entry level or above.




Entry 2 Entry Requirements


Applicants without GCSE's and /or with literacy and numeracy skills below Entry 3 may be offered a place on the Entry 2 course, or may be directed to alternative Entry1/Entry 2 courses at Foundation level.


All applicants will be interviewed to establish their suitability for the course. The course is primarily intended for school leavers (aged 16-19), but is also a suitable progression route for learners with moderate learning difficulties that have completed other college courses at Entry 2. Where to next

Learners who complete the Entry 2 Diploma and Essential Skills literacy and numeracy at Entry 2 or above can progress to Entry 3. Learners who complete the Entry 3 Diploma and Essential Skills at Entry 3 or above can progress to Level 1.




These courses are intended to help students improve their general employment prospects. Learners will be able to develop their literacy and numeracy skills whilst gaining vocational skills in their chosen subject.
