Course Description
The Level 1 Diploma course teaches the skills and knowledge required to progress to the Level 2 Diploma in Brickwork.
Students will learn:
- House and Wall Construction
- Brick Bonds
- Construction Materials
- Bricklaying Tools, their care and uses
- Building Regulations
- Health & Safety

In the workshops students will learn how to set their own work area, work safely in a working environment and use the tools and materials to build basic brick and black walls.
Entry Requirements
- GCSE’s Grade D or above, including English and Maths OR college initial assessment
- Successful interview with college staff
- Students will be required to undertake Essential Skills in Maths
