Level: Level 1
You will learn how to carry out basic brick and block laying skills. With your peers build basic masonry structures. Construct straightforward brick / block walls. Understand the need to carry out safe working practices in construction.
The department has two custom built bricklaying workshops with individual workstations for you to develop your practical skills. The Staff are fully trained to advanced craft level, and have considerable experience of working within the construction industry.
To be successful in the course you will need to have an interest in bricklaying and be able to cope with the physical requirements of working in this industry. The course is designed to pr…
