What will I study ? - Foundation Skills for Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair - Light Vehicle Construction and Routine Maintenance - Operating Principles and Maintenance of Light Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Systems - Operating Principles and Maintenance of Light Vehicle Transmission Systems - Operating Principles of Light Vehicle Engines - Operating Principles of Light Vehicle Tyres, Brakes, Steering and Suspension Systems - Working Safely and Effectively during Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair How will I be assessed ? The course has a wide variety of assessment methods including: practical assessment, on-line testing, unit end-tests & coursework, all of which have to be completed for success. This course is split 50% practical, 50% theory. What qualifications could I achieve ? IMI Level 1 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair What can the course lead to ? This course will set you on your way for a future in the Motor Trade On successful completion of this course, students can progress onto the IMI Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Level 2 at Barnet and Southgate College.
