Who is this course for? This course is for individuals who are looking to improve or learn new skills and techniques around electrical fault diagnosis. What qualifications or experience do I need ? It is also a progression route for those who have attended the Vehicle Electrics 01 course. What will I study ? The course covers testing procedures and the operation of electrical systems fitted to a spark ignition engine and related systems " Sensor operation and testing (TPMS, ABS, MAP) " Lambda and emission control " Oscilloscope and Multi-meter diagnosis techniques " EOBD interaction and Scan Tools " CAN BUS networks. How will I be assessed ? The assessment will be knowledge based. There will be classroom and practical assessments, online tests and written exams What qualifications could I achieve ? You can achieve QCF level 2/3. This course is certified by Barnet & Southgate College What can the course lead to ? You may wish to progress onto our Level 4 Master Technician course or achieve Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA). How do I join the course ? You will need a formal interview to assess your needs. You will have passed level 1 electric vehicle before taking this course. Will I need an interview ? Yes, to assess your level needs.
