Who is this course for? This course is aimed at both men and women who are seeking a career as a make up artist within the beauty industry. What qualifications or experience do I need ? Applicants are required to have the following qualifications in order to gain entry onto this course: Mature learners and learners with industry experience will be considered. * A minimum of 3 GCSEs Grades A - D English, maths and an art subject are essential. * Basic skills in literacy and numeracy at Level 1 * A good eye for colour and an artistic flair * A satisfactory reference * A good manual dexterity and oral communication * An interest in make up artistry is required What will I study ? This course will cover the following topics: * Cosmetic Make Up * Health & Safety * Eye Treatments * Facials * Functional Skills * Theory and science + tutorials * How to promote products and services to clients * How to plan and promote make up activities * Teamwork How will I be assessed ? Assessment will be continous throughout this course and will come in the form of: * Projects/Assignments * Tests * Oral Questions What qualifications could I achieve ? On successful completion of this course students will achieve the following qualifications: * Beauty Therapy (Make Up) Level 2 Diploma What can the course lead to ? Students who successfully complete this course may choose to develop their study further by progressing onto other Make Up and Beauty Therapy courses, whilst some may choose to seek employment within the beauty industries.
