Who is this course for? Assessment will be through: * Practical Tasks and Theory Units What qualifications could I achieve ? Students who successfully complete year one of this course will also achieve a City & Guilds 6218 Basic Skills. What can the course lead to ? Students who successfully complete this first year will be able to proceed with their second year towards their Diploma Level 2 - or progress towards the full NVQ Level 2 - this is subject to gaining work experience in order to follow through with the required on-site work base assessments records. How do I join the course ? Applicants will need to complete and return an application form, whereupon they will be invited to attend an interview. Will I need an interview ? Yes. There will be an interview with a member of the construction staff. Are there any extra costs for equipment/materials ? All students must provide and wear safety footwear. Some students may be required to pay fees see prospectus for details. Further Information The programme of study may include work experience and there is also the possibility of enrichment trips in order to gain further experience and knowlege. The construction department enjoys some of the best facilities to be found in the country and our students are proud to be a part of this fun, exciting and challenging environment.
