Who is this course for? A student who wishes to study full-time to progress to university courses having recently achieved a range of GCSE qualifications. What qualifications or experience do I need ? GCSE grades A* - C in at least five academic subjects in one sitting. You must have at least a Grade B in English Language. What will I study ? AS History Specification 8HI01 Exam Board: Edexcel Unit 1 - The Expansion and Challenge of Nationalism - The Unification of Germany 1848 - 90 - Republicanism, Civil War and Francoism in Spain 1930 - 1975 Unit 2 - British Political History in the 19th Century - 1830 - 85 - Representation and Reform How will I be assessed ? Assessment will be through: * examination * coursework according to the specification of the awarding Examination Board for each subject. What qualifications could I achieve ? On successful completion of this course, you will achieve AS Level certificates in each subject on your programme. What can the course lead to ? On successful completion of this course, you may progress to Year 2 of the A Level programme to take A2 subjects according to the subjects and grades that you have achieved. How do I join the course ? You must complete a full-time application form and make an appointment for an interview with a tutor.
