The Extended Degree is a four or five year degree programme leading to the award of a BSc Honours/BSc Degree in one of a choice of science subjects, or a combination of subjects. This course is a one year science and maths course as preparation for a science or maths degree at the University of Hertfordshire. If you want to study for a degree in science but do not have the appropriate qualifications for direct entry on to year 1 of a BSc. degree programme at the University of Hertfordshire, you can now apply for a BSc Extended Degree in science. Students are assessed through coursework, exams, presentations and practical assignments.What option will be open to me if I successfully complete the course? On successful completion of the initial year, you can continue your degree studies at the University of Hertfordshire, progressing to a variety of science degrees (dependent on your grades), eg Astrophysics, Geography, Pharmaceutical Science, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Physiology, Physics, Environmental Studies, Sports Science and Exercise and a range of subjects on the Joint Honours programme.
