Learning is by discussion, activities, lectures and workshops.
Assignments and homework is set to gain this qualification. The
remaining time is spent within the salon to practice and perform
further. There is a strong emphasis on working and learning with
others and you are regularly set tasks to be completed in
partnership with other students on the programme. You will also
need to be able to work independently and take responsibility for
you own learning.
The qualification you will gain is VTCT Level 2 Award in Nail Art. You also develop wider skills vital for success in further study or employment, including self confidence, working with others, taking responsibility and time management. By the end of the course you will have benefited from a valuable insight in future study or careers open to you.
This course is open to motivated individuals with manicure qualifications. Your offer is subject to a short interview and a commitment to full attendance.
On successful completion you can progress to full-time beauty therapy qualification or other therapies, or try one of our related part-time courses. Alternatively you could provide treatments for friends and family, or find work in a salon, leisure complex or spa.
This course requires around 3 hours of self study a week.
