Award in Paediatric First Aid Level 2
This is a short first aid training course which aims to train delegates up to OFSTED and PFAA standards. The aim of the course is to enable all students to offer first aid to babies and young children. The course duration is 12 hours spread over two days.

- casualty whose heart has stopped
- severe and minor bleeding

- shock
- burns and scalds
- poisoning
- bone joint and muscle injuries

Learning activities include theory and practical sessions.
On successful completion of the course you will have gained confidence in dealing with first aid for babies and young children. You receive a certificate for 12-hour Paediatric First Aid.
No prior qualifications required although courses are restricted to 12 students. Prior first aid knowledge would be advantageous.
On successful completion of the course you will be able to apply for the one-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) or the three-day First Aid at Work (FAW) qualifications.
