This course will provide you with a the basics that you need to know about the causes and common types of Dementia. Before we can begin to understand how any form of dementia can affect the brain, it is helpful to have some insight into what a healthy brain is made of and what it does.

What Will I Learn

You will be introduced to how the brain functions and this will enable you to understand some of the difficulties an individual who has a form of dementia may encounter, and will also help you to appreciate why some people with dementia act or behave the way they do.
