This qualification is accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) who are the recognised professional body for staff employed in a range of roles in finance and accounting and members of the AAT are fully qualified accounting technicians.What Will I Learn
The Diploma develops skills in areas such as the preparation of final accounts from the trial balance, the preparation of accounts from incomplete records and indirect tax and costing. Full time students will also gain a BTEC qualification in Business and Accounting.Example Modules

How Will I Be Assessed?
Many of the units are assessed by computer-based exams and the provisional results are available immediately or are marked by an assessor at the college.Entry Requirements
Direct entry onto the Level 3 requires either a Level 2 AAT or Level 2 Bookkeeping qualification together with a minimum of 4 GCSE passes at grade C or above, including English and Mathematics together with a proven interest in accountancy.Additional Information
This course is also available on a part-time basis. Students are required to become members of AAT and registration and subscription fee will be approximately £120. Purchase of books is optional.Progression
There are opportunities to progress to a higher level and take the AAT Technician Stage (NVQ 4), or the CIMA Foundation.Career Opportunities
