This course provides attendees with a framework, skills and techniques that will enable them to model business processes and deliver process improvements. A realistic case study is used to practise key techniques including:
  • Modelling an organisation
  • The organisational view
  • Analysing tasks
  • Managing and measuring processes
  • Creating AS-IS and TO-BE process models
Important related issues such as human performance and process measurement are also covered along with theoretical concepts supported by detailed case studies. This gives the opportunity for participants to apply their knowledge to both AS-IS and TO-BE process models.

Assessment and accreditation

This course prepares participants for the BCS Modelling Business Processes examination, which is held on the final day of the course. The examination is open-book and tests the participant's application of Modelling Business Process techniques on business scenarios. This certificate contributes to the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis, as shown below:
In addition to covering the full BCS syllabus, this course is approved as consistent with the IIBA BABoK version 2.0 and enables participants to develop SFIA skills BPRE, levels 5 and 6.

Course structure and timings

The course takes place over 2 days. Refreshments and lunch are provided free of charge to participants. Day 1 - 09:30 start / 17:00 finish

Day 2 - 09:00 start / 17:00 finish
  • Human aspects of performance
