It focuses on applications such as image manipulation, web and games design rather than spreadsheets and word processors. It may therefore be studied alongside other IT courses if necessary.
This course is 100% assessment – there are no exams. Candidates must produce a portfolio of work that meets the course assessment criteria in order to pass. There are no grades – Candidates achieve a pass or fail.

Certificate – 3 Units – 1 GCSE
Unit 1 – Digital Graphics
Learn how to source effective digital images and manipulate these images using software in order to produce a photo montage for a client brief.
Unit 2 – Web Authoring
Design, develop and publish a small website based on a client’s requirements.
Unit 3 – Digital Animation
Understand how animation is produced and create a digital animation.
Candidates are encouraged to then complete two more units to achieve the Diploma.
Diploma – 5 Units – 2 GCSEs

Digital Sound, Digital Video, Multi-media, Games Design, 2D Games
