- Develop a critical understanding of organisations and the market they serve
- Acquire a range of skills including decision making and problem solving
- Be aware of current structures of business and business practice in different sectors and environments.
- Acquire a good grounding in business for higher education and employment.

Applied courses are designed to bridge the gap between the classroom and the world of work. Teaching and learning strategies have been devised to give students the chance to experience a range of work-related activities and contexts in their course.
