Level 1 Award in Computerised Payroll

This course is for those who are new to payroll and who wish to acquire the foundation skills and knowledge required of payroll clerks prior to employment  and of course those who wish to return to working and wish to add Computerised Payroll to their skills.

It will also appeal to those who are already employed in payroll processing or allied roles and wish to augment this knowledge with an accredited qualification in Computerised Payroll at level 1.

The course acts as an introduction to payroll record keeping within a computerised payroll system, using commercially available computerised payroll software.

It will give candidates the necessary skills to assess their own competence in carrying out a range of basic day-to-day computerised payroll routines and activities using commercially available computerised payroll software. The activities will include; setting up a computerised payroll system, processing the payroll and producing reports. It will also give candidates the necessary skills to assess the implications of maintaining accuracy when using commercial software for computerised payroll systems.
