Character Design

Overview:

This excellent Character Design course will teach you to design characters for your next creative project. Learn a whole host of methods and techniques from two creative professionals: a concept artist and graphic designer, both of whom have an abundance of insider tips for you. The main tools used in this course are Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, but most of the techniques can be applied in similar applications.

Meet the Instructor:

Martin is a Certified Adobe Design Master and Instructor. He has worked as a designer with companies like Disney, Warner Brothers, Cartoon Network, Sony Pictures, Mattel, and DC Comics. He is currently working in London as a designer and instructor as well as providing a range of services, from live online training to consultancy work, to individuals worldwide.

Almu Redondo is a storyboard artist, visual development and concept artist from Spain with passion for stories. She was born with a pencil in her hands. She has worked as visual development artist for animation films and TV series, as well as concept artist and storyboard artist for the VFX industry for clients like Disney, LucasArts, The Weistein Company or Universal, with work in films as Jason Bourne, iBoy or Stratton, Star Wars Battle Quads advertisement and TV Series like Plebs III.

How will I be assessed?

• You will have one assignment. Pass mark is 65%.
• You will only need to pay £19 for assessment.
• You will receive the results within 72 hours of submittal, and will be sent a certificate in 7-14 days.

What Certification am I going to receive?

Those who successfully pass this course will be awarded a Character Design certificate. Anyone eligible for certification will receive a free e-certificate, and printed certificate.

What are requirements?

• You must be 16 or over
• You should have a basic understanding of English, Maths and ICT
• You will need a computer or tablet with internet connection (or access to one)
