What will I do on the course?
This course consists of four 15 week semesters. Each semester comprises of different "Units" which will introduce you the skills of research, illustration, design and development. You will learn how to produce collection of garments. See the full list of unit titles below.

Your lecturers are all fashion professionals, many work in the
industry as well as teaching. This means that their understanding
is completely up to date – the skills you learn will be relevant to
the fashion industry today.
You will go to fashion shows and compile shop reports. We visit
trade fairs, art galleries and museums. London must be the best
city in the world to study fashion!
What can I do after getting my HND in Fashion & Textiles?
The business of fashion is not just about design and garment
manufacture. There are many career options such as buying, product
management, merchandising, PR and journalism.
This course will enable you better understand the fashion industry
and give you the skills to enter it at a junior level. An HND in
Fashion and Textiles is respected and recognised throughout the
industry.
It will also enable you to produce a Fashion Portfolio for
interview if you wish to go onto Degree level studies.

Assessment Method:
A combination of assignments, case study reviews, planning exercises and examinations.
Entry Requirements:
What to do need to join? First of all you need an interest in
fashion. It's a creative and exciting world- but it's also hard
work and you need to love the subject!
A qualification in a related subject such as art or technical
design would be useful. Drawing skills and a creative nature will
help- but the course will cover all the basic skills – you just
need to be enthusiastic and prepared to practice.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
GCE A Level pass or GCSE plus 2 years work experience
English Language must normally be IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. Students
with 5.5 may be offered a place subject to interview. Students with
5.0 may be accepted if they take a pre-sessional course and reach
the required standard.
Progression to Final year of degree in Fashion & Textile with
selected British Universities.

holiday)
Note: Fee includes course material and first attempt of all the assessments. All assessment re-sits will require an additional fee of £75/- per module.
