This training course is designed to help plumbers, heating engineers and kitchen fitters who work on central heating electrical control systems to work safely and comply with the appropriate standards.Whilst not aiming to turn plumbers, gas fitters and heating enegineers into electricians, this short programme will give them the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain and repair modern gas appliances.
This course is equivalent to 4 NVQ Level 3 units.

The objectives of the course are to enable delegates to:understand the basics of electricity
describe the basics of domestic house wiring
understand central heating control systems
carry out logical fault finding
describe the function of central heating appliance components
describe the need for and carry out safe isolation.
What does the course lead to?
Entry to 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations course and registration with a competent persons' scheme (NAPIT, ELECSA).Entry requirements
