A series of half day training courses in leadership and management is being offered at our Station Park campus.
Participants will be able to attend the event as an opportunity to learn specific skills which are designed to improve confidence and efficiency as a manager, and deliver a return on investment on behalf of the employer. There is the opportunity to network with others who may be experiencing similar problems, and the sessions will include activities such as discussions and problem solving to make them engaging and interactive.
Delegates will also have a course booklet which contains the key learning points and additional material for reading and reflection.
The short course programme for this term offers the following 4 units:
· Developing people in the workplace (L4)
· Leading innovation and change (L5)
· Understanding financial management (L4)
· Managing projects in the organisation (L5)
How long is the course?
Each unit will be studied in a 3 hour interactive session from which learners will have gained the basic understanding of this specific topic. This may be followed by tutorial support for those who have opted for ILM accreditation by completing the assignment. The assignment will need to be submitted within a given time.How will I be assessed?
There will be a unit assignment which will need to be completed successfully. The credits attached to each unit can lead to an ILM qualification. An Award or Certificate at levels 4 and 5 may be achieved by accumulating credits at the right level and credit value.What will I study?

· Project management tools and techniques
· Plan implement and monitor a project

What does the course lead to?
You can build up accredited units towards an Award or Certificate in Leadership and Management at Level 4 and 5.What can I go on to study?
Select your choice of topics from the list made available each term so that you cover the topics that are of most interest and value to you and your employer. Each unit will be delivered by a subject specialist so that you get the advantage of learning from someone who has direct experience of this topic.Entry requirements
By informal interview with the course leader.How much does it cost?
The cost of each session is £55 in order to attend. If you wish to undertake the assessment and have it accredited by ILM to put towards a qualification, the additional cost is £75 per unit to cover tutorial support, and ILM registration per unit for unit accreditation.If you are 'topping-up' from an Award to a Certificate, there is a special reduced charge for this.
