ECDL - European Computer Driving Licence

The ECDL qualification is made up of seven modules. It is aimed at students who have already gained some computer knowledge and wish to further enhance their skills using Microsoft Office 2010.

The course consists of Level 1 (ECDL Essentials) and Level 2 (ECDL Extra), all modules at each level need to be passed to achieve the full qualification

How will I be assessed?

Timed on-screen and paper-based assessment.

What will I study?

Level 1 (ECDL Essentials) has the following modules:

• IT Security
• IT User Fundamentals
• Information & Communication (E-mail and Internet)

Level 2 (ECDL Extra) has the following modules:

• Word processing
• Spreadsheets
• Presentations
• Improving Productivity

What does the course lead to?

The course is the industry standard and widely accepted by the public and private sector as the measure of competence in the use of IT.

Entry requirements

Experience of using a PC.

Level 1 (ECDL Essentials) - £90 including registrationLevel 2 (ECDL Extra) - £107 including registration.
