Every year over 300 babies die in the UK from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (cot death). This one day course gives anyone who works with babies the opportunity to learn how they can potentially save the lives of babies they come into contact with either in the home or other settings.

Our Training provides professionals with the underpinning knowledge to advise parents on the safest ways of managing sleep episodes for babies, understand protective factors and techniques for reducing the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

  • Identify high risk groups.
  • Understand the causes of SID’s
  • Identify protective factors.
  • Identify risky situations.
  • Advise Parents/Carers on how to reduce the risk of SID’s
  • Have those difficult but vital conversations with defensive Parents/Carers
  • Decide if further support/interventions are needed
