Aims
The aim of this course is to equip the student with the theoretical knowledge, practical skills and interpersonal awareness necessary to understand and apply cognitive behavioural theory and methods in their practice.
Objectives
By the end of this module the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the theory underpinning the cognitive behavioural model of emotional disorder in relation to anxiety and depression.
- Demonstrate the ability to use appropriate assessment tools/methods and work with the client to identify core problems and goals.
