Description
The BA (Hons) Business Management (Languages) will provide you with the skills and knowledge to develop your career in the world of business, in particular if you are interested in a sector where a second language will be an additional asset.

You will gain an understanding of the key issues of business, including the financial environment in which businesses operate and the broader economic issues that have an impact on companies and organisations. You will consider the fundamentals of business such as organisation and resources, supply and demand, the structure of markets and also key aspects of the manager‚s role, including empowerment, group dynamics, behaviour, stress and motivation.

The BA (Hons) Business Management (Languages) will provide you with the skills and knowledge to develop your career in the world of business, in particular if you are interested in a sector where a second language will be an additional asset.

You will gain an understanding of the key issues of business, including the financial environment in which businesses operate and the broader economic issues that have an impact on companies and organisations. You will consider the fundamentals of business such as organisation and resources, supply and demand, the structure of markets and also key aspects of the manager‚s role, including empowerment, group dynamics, behaviour, stress and motivation.

You will also have the opportunity to study other business fields, including marketing, human resource management and tourism.

For the language component of your studies you will take two language modules in each year of your studies. You will have the opportunity to start a language at beginner‚s level and/or you may choose to enhance language skills that you have already gained at GCSE or A-level. Current languages available are French, Spanish, German and Mandarin Chinese. Other languages such as Arabic or Japanese will be offered subject to demand.
