Description
The module introduces the student to the structural inspection and appraisal of residential, commercial and industrial buildings of the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. Students will learn about the assessment, repair, and upgrading of structures built of masonry, timber, cast and wrought iron, and mild steel. Visits to old buildings carried out as part of the student‚s self study will also be required.
