At the end of this course you'll be able to: understand what's involved in being a virtual assistant, understand how to set up a business, know the importance of good customer care, know how to use a computer to create documents, spreadsheets, presentations + databases, as well as use email and the internet effectively.

At UK Open Learning we pride ourselves on our friendly and supportive tutors. Your tutor support will start as soon as you receive your course and will be valid for 12 months. All our tutors are highly qualified with extensive experience in supporting distance learning students. You contact your tutor via email and they are responsible for marking assignments answering your questions and guiding you through the course to ensure you are ready for your examinations.

This course is open entry.

Students should allocate a total of 110 hours to complete this course. You can work at your own pace but you must complete the course within the 12 month period.

This course is made up of two main parts: Virtual Assistant and ECDL. The VA part covers a variety of topics from: What is a VA? to Inland Revenue Requirements. The ECDL part of the course covers everything from Security for IT Users to Using Email and the Internet.

When you have completed the course you can then sit the exam in one of the many assessment centres across the UK.

This is a self-study course includes the Approved ECDL Interactive Learning which covers the entire ECDL syllabus which can be run from your PC. You can start and stop the course and complete it at your own pace. When you have completed the course you can then sit the exam in one of the many assessment centres across the UK.
