CONFIDENTIALITY TRAINING Overview The aim of this confidentiality training course is to provide the theory and introduce moral/ethical and philosophical issues relating to confidentiality. Candidates will gain awareness of why confidentiality is important, how to keep information confidential and situations when information might need to be shared. Candidates will gain an understanding on how confidentiality can be breached and how to deal with enquiries without breaching confidentiality. Outline of the Confidentiality Training Programme The confidentiality training course covers: Defining Confidentiality Why confidentiality is important Legislation,Policy & Procedure relating to confidentiality How confidentiality may be breached and how to deal with such situations What is meant by the term ‘Disclosure’ Philosophical and Ethical Issues Personal Experience & Practice Assessment: The confidentiality training course confidentiality training course is delivered in 2 hours and Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn along with interaction of group activities. SPECIAL OFFER- If three, two hour care sector courses are run on the same day at the same venue the third course is free of charge.
