Are you studying A Levels and looking to go on to a one year course? Do you want to extend your knowledge further, learn the latest skills and get you some real work experience or perhaps take a gap year before going to university?

Be a part of our TV production company, SpringboardTV, working with industry professionals, and learn all aspects of making television programmes and films which will be shown on the TV channel - www.springboardtv.com!

You will develop a range of skills and techniques, communication, presentation skills, personal qualities and attitudes essential for success in higher education and employment.

Over the year you will gain an excellent insight into the industry and work in our purpose- built TV studio, with industry standard cameras and specialist editing suite. The course involves a 'hands-on' practical approach in learning camera skills, directing, interview techniques and script writing, through 'live' projects, leading to a wide variety of film making. The range of projects that students may be involved in include fictional drama, comedy, science fiction films, corporate videos, documentaries, music videos, magazines and news programmes. You will also learn to analyse moving images, understand how they were produced and learn about how the advertising, television and film industries work.

Past students have been successful in having work selected for the Bradford Film Festival, competing nationally. At the end of the year your work may be selected and shown to a wide audience, at the College of West Anglia Film Festival and 'Oscars' evening. There will be many opportunities to have your work broadcast on the Television Channel.
