End Qualification:
NPTC Level 2 Agriculture
Entry Requirements:
Interview required
Normally 4 GCSEs at grade D or above (with
at least one grade C from either science, English or mathematics).
Progression is encouraged from Level 1 qualifications.
For some students an agreement will be reached to comply with an
academic contract from the start of the course.
Assessment:
This course is continually assessed by a combination of written tests, project and assignment work and demonstration of competence in a range of practical skills.
Progression from this course:
Students who successfully complete the
programme may progress to the Extended Diploma in Agriculture or
related subject, or full-time employment with continued access to
further education.
Employment opportunities depend on skills achieved. Possible
employment as a trainee farm worker or working with local
authorities, environmental groups, nature reserves, national parks
or into one of the ancillary industries at trainee level.

Course Costs:
All students on full-time courses will need to pay a materials / resources fee. Details will be provided before enrolment. If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay tuition or registration fees for your course. For students aged 19 or over, there will be a tuition fee (depends on the course) for each year of the course as well as a registration fee (which includes exam fees). However, many students will be eligible for reduced fees and / or financial support towards the costs. Click here for detailed information.
