Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Applied Science

Entry Requirements:

4 GCSEs at grade D or above including Mathematics and English.

Assessment:

All units are internally assessed via coursework assignments and tests. Students who produce excellent work may gain Merit or Distinction grades.

Progression from this course:

If you pass all the units and gain an overall Merit or Distinction grade, you can progress onto the BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science (Forensics). You would also need a grade C GCSE in English and Maths at this level and if you were thinking about progression to University. If you achieve a distinction grade you could progress onto A levels depending on your GCSE maths and English grades.

Course Costs:

All students on full-time courses will need to pay a materials / resources fee. Details will be provided before enrolment. If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay tuition or registration fees for your course. For students aged 19 or over, there will be a tuition fee (depends on the course) for each year of the course as well as a registration fee (which includes exam fees). However, many students will be eligible for reduced fees and / or financial support towards the costs. Click here for detailed information. Some outdoor activities may take place (not compulsory) and are payable by the student. Course texts are available on loan from the learning resource centre.
