An ideal job role for the advanced level is helpdesk support, resolving hardware and software problems, setting up user hardware, software and security, designing solutions to improve business processes, IT supervisor or staff generally responsible for others¿ use of IT and it's streamlining and development.
You can choose from a wide range of vocational units at levels 2 and 3 to create your own diploma qualification. There is one mandatory unit and the remaining units range from preparing presentations, setting mobile devices and working with specialist software to managing records, mobile communications, enquiries/quotes and orders. Entry Requirements:
Interview required
There are no formal entry
requirements.
You will be assessed for your potential to achieve the
apprenticeship. The assessment will depend upon the level and range
of activities you will be undertaking in the workplace.
You may need to undergo an initial assessment of your English and
maths skills in which you are required to be working at or towards
level 2.
At the start of your apprenticeship programme you will need to be
employed by a suitable and appropriate employer for at least 16
hours a week. You also need to have been a resident in the EU for
at least 3 years.
Commitment and motivation are necessary to complete the course.
Assessment:
Workplace assessment. Functional skills tests to be completed at college (some attendance required).

In a modern workplace the management and use of IT has opened the fastest growing job market of its age. The need for rapid access to fast transmission of increasing amounts of information has created exciting and stimulating challenges and opportunities.

Course Costs:
There are currently no fees payable by young people on Apprenticeship programmes. Fees may be payable by the employer where the candidate is 19 or older. Details available on request.
