VRQ Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy

Full-Time courses for 16-18 School Leavers are Free.

If you are aged between 19 and 23 and you don’t have a qualification equivalent to 2 A Levels, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria AND are aged 19-23, tuition fees will be waived. Tuition fees will not be waived for students aged over 23 studying a Level 3 or higher course, however these students may qualify for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan.
Course Content: This course covers all aspects of Beauty Therapy and Spa including:

Body Massage; Indian Head Massage; Hot stone massage therapy. Facial Electrical; Microdermabrasion; Body Electrical, Anatomy and Physiology, Health & Safety; working with colleagues, promoting products and services; consultation.

Entry Qualification: To qualify for entry onto this course you should possess Level 2 in General Beauty Therapy. Level 2 Functional Skills in Literacy or a minimum C grade at English GCSE.

A minimum Grade ‘C’ in Science is ideal.

A regular work placement is compulsory.

Special Features: Although this is a practical based course the level demands an amount of independent study and research. You will also complete work experience in the college salon. A regular work placement is required (a minimum of 2 hours per week). Course Format: This course consists of exams, and assignments, are completed throughout the course for each unit, as well as the completion of a portfolio of work by the end of the course. Progression: Having completed the course, you may gain employment in beauty salons in a variety of locations and environments including health farms, cruise liners, mobile therapy, or progress onto a Foundation Degree in Beauty or Spa Management.
