If you are aged between 19 and 23 and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria, tuition fees will be waived. (Registration Fees will still apply).
Course Content: Throughout this course you will develop a range of skills and knowledge in Beauty Therapy, preparing you for a rewarding career in helping people to look and feel good. You will complete practical and theory work in all of the following areas; Manicure; Pedicure; Makeup; Waxing; Facial; Lash and Brow; Reception and Health and Safety. You will learn each of these areas through practical work experience in our commercial Beauty Salons, situated on-site and open to the public, giving you an insight into the exciting and satisfying career path you have chosen. Entry Qualification: Learners will be accepted onto the programme after a successful interview. Potential learners should have a good general education and four GCSE grade D or above,(one of which must be English) or level 1 in Beauty Therapy with level one functional skill in English. Learners should also possess the following qualities:

Salon tunic/trousers £45.00 Course Format: Your skills will be assessed in a work based environment. Relevant theoretical knowledge is an integral part of each unit and is assessed by on line exams.

You will be continually assessed throughout your course on practical skills, written work and assignment. Progression: Once you have completed this course, a variety of options will be available to you. You may gain employment in beauty salons in a variety of locations and environments including Health Farms; Cruise Liners; Mobile Therapy or progression onto Holistic Therapies

You may also further your studies in this area of work by progressing onto Level 3 Beauty Therapy, Level 3 Complementary Therapies or Level 3 Nail Services.
