If you are aged between 19 and 23 and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria, tuition fees will be waived. (Registration Fees will still apply).

Course Content: Within the administration profession there is a constant demand for qualified personnel and secretaries. The OCR Level 2 qualification is suitable for those who wish to develop further their knowledge, understanding and skills of a range of key administrative functions and activities. It is suitable for those who will have to work independently in an administrative job role.

On this one year course you will cover 2 mandatory units:

• Working in administration

• Writing business communication

Optional units include:

• Career planning in administration

• Teamwork in administration

• Organising business travel and accommodation

• Organising meetings

• Prepare for employment in administration

In addition you will take the following secretarial exams at level 2

• Text production

• Word processing

• Audio transcription

• Business presentations and Document presentation Entry Qualification: 4 GCSEs at grade D including English. Mature students must be able to demonstrate a reasonable level of English. Course Format: The course will be taught via classes, tutorials and workshop practice.

Assessment will comprise a combination of portfolio building, assignments and external secretarial ICT examinations. Progression: Upon completion of the course you will have the choice of studying for the OCR Administration Diploma at Level 3 (1 year) or going into employment within the business administration field.
