If you are aged between 19 and 23 and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria, tuition fees will be waived. (Registration Fees will still apply).
Course Content: This qualification will allow you to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment in the travel and tourism sector.

• The Structure of the UK Travel Industry
• Customer Service and Selling Skills for Travel and Tourism
• UK Travel and Tourism Destinations
• Visitor Attractions
• Worldwide Travel and Tourism Destinations
• Resort Representatives
During each unit you will develop knowledge about the travel and
tourism sector, and also carry out practical activities and role
plays to give you the specialist skills needed in the industry.
All teaching staff on the course have worked in the travel industry
and will bring this experience into the classroom. Entry
Qualification: 4 GCSEs D and above (one must be Maths or English)
or a L1 Diploma in Travel (Merit profile). Special Features: As
part of the course you will get to go on several trips. In the past
we have visited hotels, travel trade shows and attractions such as
Alton Towers and Chester Zoo.
Students need to pay £80 at the start of the course to cover the
cost of any trips and uniform. Course Format: Each of the six units
that you will study will be assessed. Assessment methods include
written assignments, online tests, presentations and role plays.
Progression: On successful completion of the course you will have
the option of furthering your studies and completing a BTEC Level 3
Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism or City and Guilds Level 2
Diploma in Air Cabin Crew. You will also have the option of
progressing straight into employment on completion of this
course.
