Course fees are per year.
If you are aged between 19 and 23 and you don’t have a qualification equivalent to 2 A Levels, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria AND are aged 19-23, tuition fees will be waived. Tuition fees will not be waived for students aged over 23 studying a Level 3 or higher course, however these students may qualify for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan.

Course Content: This course is aimed at learners who want to study
on an academic programme with some practical content. You will
learn by undertaking both practical workshop sessions as well as
related theory to provide you with the knowledge & skills for
work within the industry & future progression into Higher
Education.
The programme consists of 5 core units & 13 specialist units.
Core units include, Operation of Vehicle Systems, Vehicle Fault
Diagnosis and Rectification, Vehicle Technology Project, Motorsport
Workshop Practices & Motorsport Vehicle Preparation and
Inspection. Entry Qualification: A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or
above including Maths, English and Science and following a
successful interview and practical assessment. Special Features: •
Practical tasks in a motorsport environment
• Assessment via written assignments, tests and project work
• Specialist units include: Computer Aided Drafting, Mathematics
for Technicians, Properties and Application of Engineering
Materials, Vehicle Engine Principals, Operation, Service and
Repair, Applications of Vehicle Science and Mathematics, Vehicle
Electrical and Electronic Principals, Light Vehicle Transmission
Systems, Light Vehicle Suspension, Steering and Braking Systems,
Vehicle Engine Management Systems, Vehicle Electronic Ancillary and
Information Systems, Engineering Design & Mechanical Principals
and Applications Progression: The Level 3 Extended Diploma in
Motorsport enables learners to progress into employment within the
sector and related industries. The qualification will also provide
opportunities for progression to a range of further & Higher
Education courses such as Higher National Diploma in Motorsport
& Higher National Diploma in Engineering, as well some Degree
programmes depending on grades achieved.
