Suitable For

Those working or aim to seek employment as engineers in the Electrical /Electronics industry who have achieved a level 3 qualification, and wish to progress their career within the industry.

Course Content

8 modules (over 1.5 years / 3 semesters). The modules studied are listed below:

• Analytical Methods for Engineers
• Engineering Science
• Business Management Techniques
• Project
• Programmable Logic Controllers
• Electrical Power
• Utilisation of Electrical Energy
• Combinational & Sequential Logic.

Assessment Method

Assessment methods vary for each module, but will consist of phase tests, end tests and assignments. Each module will be assessed by these methods combination of these methods. The module book for each subject gives more detailed information

Entry Requirements

• BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in an engineering discipline
• Edexcel Advanced GNVQ in Engineering with appropriate options and additional units or Vocational Certificate of Education VCE in Engineering
• At least one A level pass, with appropriate supporting passes at GCSE Grade A, B or C in an appropriate science or technology subject.
• Other qualifications will be considered on merit.
